Black Archives Sweden is a contemporary archive centered around the experiences and narratives of Afro-Swedes and Black people in Sweden. From a queerfeminist and diasporic perspective Black Archives Sweden works to produce artworks, collect photographs, video- and sound collections, letters, texts, oral histories, and ephemera. The Weight of Silence

Solo exhibition, Whose Museum | 2021

A solo exhibition with artist Ina Nian. In this exhibition, Nian used multiple mediums: video, installations, texts, and sound to examine their process in and traces from the archives. Nian employed the medium of iron to incite questions about Sweden’s role in the transatlantic slave trade, in particular, what it reveals and conceals. Read more
